Farm Animals

Here at the Schnagererhof there are many animals. In the cowshed, there are cows and calves, on the lawn in summer, the pigs ramble around; rabbits, guinea pigs and goats need to be petted, and everywhere you meet our “cuddle cats”. All animals look forward to a lot of tender and loving care from the children.

Employees on the farm

The Schnagererhof is a family business. Nevertheless, we are pleased when many children give us a hand with our daily duties. Together it is much more fun.

In the garden, on the fields or in the barns, feeding rabbits and goats, collecting grass, petting calves, watching the pigs roaming on our meadows in the summer and … the highlight: milking cows. As a reward, the hard-working farm assistants will get the farm diploma. The joy of children is immense – now, they are certified “young farmers”. Overalls and barn boots are available in all sizes.

Schnagererhof: exciting farm holidays for children

A farm holiday is a truly special experience for children. The young vacationers are always happy to help feeding the goats and rabbits, and lending a hand in the cowshed. On the farm Schnagererhof on Mount Plose – the local mountain of Bressanone – kids’ dreams will come true. The child-friendly farm in the Isarco Valley has adjusted to the needs of its youngest guests. Milking cows, mowing the lawn and petting the calves are fascinating experiences for children. Another special highlight: As a “Thank you!” for their help, the kids will receive a real farm diploma.

A farm holiday with children is never boring. Plenty of variety during the holidays is guaranteed by the large grass play area with a sandbox, a giant trampoline, a swing, and a slide, where the children may romp freely. The older kids may play exciting matches at the table tennis, while the parents relax in the sun on the manicured lawn. In case of bad weather, on the farm Schnagererhof you’ll find a lounge area with books and board games.

Adventures and fun during your farm holidays with children

The mountains of the Isarco Valley hold many surprises for children. An exciting hike on the family trail “Woody Walk” takes you from the mountain station of the Plose cable car to the alpine lodge Rossalm. Along the way, many different stations invite you to take a break. Furthermore, the tourist office in Bressanone offers a wide-ranging entertainment programme for children. The events include jugglers’ games in the Episcopal Palace in Bressanone, a treasure hunt in the monastery and adventure hikes on Mount Plose.

Room to play

A farm offers plenty of room to play, and the farm Schnagererhof is no exception: In the meadows around the farm, and of course also in the courtyard, there are plenty of possibilities to laugh, play and run. Our large fleet with pedal tractor, children’s bikes in all sizes, bobby cars, mountain cars and pedal scooters invite you to race around the farm. Next to the playground with the bird’s nest swing and the playhouse, you’ll also find a trampoline, a basketball hoop, table tennis and lots of action and fun. In case of bad weather you may visit our playroom.

Your kids will soon make new friends. And often these friendships last for years thanks to yearly meetings at our farm.
